Cartherics Team Offsite: Stronger Together

The Cartherics team recently gathered at the RACV Club in Healesville for a dynamic and inspiring offsite event focused on collaboration, growth, and celebrating our shared mission.

The theme of the offsite, Stronger Together, set a positive and inclusive tone that resonated throughout the event, encouraging everyone to embrace teamwork, challenges and shared success as we launched into the two-day program.

Embracing this spirit, we participated enthusiastically in activities that fostered trust, boosted creativity, and celebrated our shared successes, leaving everyone feeling energised and prepared to face upcoming challenges as a united group.

The program kicked off with an interactive workshop on Building a Flourishing Team, facilitated by Dani Traum, Director & Principal Consultant, Ignite Leadership Development. Dani’s workshop provided an overview of the fundamental principles and attributes required for effective team building. We learned more about our Myers-Briggs assessment to gain insight into personality types and learned strategies to maximise collaboration within the group.

We took the opportunity to reflect on our Why, Who, How, and What, which allowed us to set clear goals and consider the best ways to achieve them. Our why is to have a clear purpose and direction. Our who focuses on building trust-based relationships, valuing diversity, and leveraging each other’s strengths. Our how is guided by agreed processes, open challenge and debate, learning from experience and feedback, shared leadership, having fun, and celebrating progress. And our what is simple: to achieve results.

Energised by the engaging discussions and practical team-building exercises, participants spent the rest of the afternoon connecting with colleagues through collaborative activities designed to foster trust and creativity.

The “Hollywood Glam”–inspired dinner and trivia night was a standout highlight of the offsite, setting the stage for an evening of social drinks and a glamorous, purple-themed formal dinner—complete with a red carpet and all the Hollywood flair!

Day two began with breakfast and checkout, followed by a quick outdoor team photo despite the rain — purple t-shirts on, ready to go! We then participated in a spirited Survivor-style team-building challenge, tribal challenges and all – facilitated by ActivityHQ, before concluding the offsite with a wrap-up session and awards ceremony.

Cartherics CEO, Dr Ian Nisbet commented: “Teamwork is a critical requirement for successful drug development and offsites are one way in which we invest in building our team.  We have a big year ahead in 2026 and we approach it enthusiastically knowing we are Stronger Together.”

This offsite was a fantastic opportunity for Cartherics to strengthen bonds, celebrate achievements, and energise our collective commitment to pioneering cell therapies for women’s health. We look forward to carrying this momentum into the exciting milestones ahead!
