Cartherics and the Coronavirus

A message from Cartherics CEO Alan Trounson

‘Due to the escalation of public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Cartherics has shifted the way we work. We have arrangements in place to ensure that while vital research continues, staff can work remotely much of the time.

Essential lab work is still on track, but those that do not have to be in the office are not. We are using Zoom for regular meetings, and it is business as usual as far as possible.

Scientists that are at home whilst experiments are running are encouraged to write reports. Meanwhile, Cartherics Chief Scientific Officer, Richard Boyd, and I are in regular contact with all staff regarding updates and positive reinforcement.

I want to personally thank the entire Cartherics team for their good will and collaborative spirit. Without everyone’s support we would be unable to keep our work and our company going. Well done.

I also want to acknowledge the support from key collaborators: Hudson Institute of Medical Research, Monash University, Mesoblast Ltd and Cell Therapies Pty Ltd.

Thank you all. Together, we will get through these difficult times’.
