Cartherics is pleased to announce that CEO Alan Trounson has been congratulated by the National Library of Australia for his recognition on this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
In recognition of his “distinguished service to medical science, and to in vitro fertilisation and stem cell technologies” Trounson was appointed an Officer (AO) of the Order of Australia (General Division).
In her congratulatory letter the Director, Dr Marie-Louise Ayres, noted the Library’s relationship with Trounson:
“In 2003 you were interviewed for the Library’s Oral History collection. Thank you for providing open access of your interview for research, personal copies and public use. We are delighted to inform you that the recording and transcript are available for researchers to request via the Library’s online catalogue. We are delighted to inform that the Library also holds a range of your publications in the collection.”
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with you in the years to come,” she added.
Members of the Library can access the collection in Canberra.
